The miniature pinscher is a toy breed of dog and is a excellent rat catcher. The coat is short and the colors are black or chocolate, with tan markings; or solid red, or solid brown. The average miniature pinscher weighs about 8 lbs. and is 11 inches tall at the shoulder. The ears may or may not be cropped. The tail is docked.
